Well, they weren’t kidding about the material being soft. It’s different but will work for what I need. I did search for maternity swimwear and when these shorts came up, I expected there to be a panty liner like a typical swimsuit. This doesn’t have that. And if you hold the material up to the light, it is a little see through. But I figure swim bottoms with these shorts over them will work for my needs. There is an adjustment band on the belly but only on one side and if you need to pull it in a bunch, then your elastic left over is just left hanging. I got the XL which fits but is a little loose but the belly band is covered by the swim top I got so it’s not going anywhere. I also really like the length and I’m afraid if I were to exchange the XL for a Large, I might lose an inch or two in leg length and I don’t want that. So I’m good. I’m 5’2”, currently 174 lbs and 6.5 months pregnant. So keeping in mind that my baby bump and I will continue to grow, I’m keeping this size. For $15, they are worth it!
